Sunni politician fielded against banned outfit ringleader in Jhang election

Punjab Assembly’s election from Jhang constituency PB-126 is going to see a thrilling battle as an anti-takfiri Sunni politician is also in the run against Muavia Azam, ringleader of banned Sipah-e-Sahaba terrorist group who keeps renaming to escape enforcement of proscription.

Shiraz Akram is brother of Waqas Akram, now an independent contestant against notorious terrorist group ringleader Muavia Azam.
Malik Zafar Tiwana, Asif Ali Shahid Dhadhi (PMLN), Dr Abul Hassan (PTI), APML’s Dr Shafqaat Ahmed, Abida Parveen of TLP are other contestants in the Jhang city electoral-fray.
Shaikh Waqas Akram is also contesting election against another takfiri ringleader of said banned group. This Sunni family is an influential political family that has won elections in the past against takfiris of banned militant group.
