Supporters and opponents of JUIF leader thrash each other in Quetta meeting

Deobandi party JUI-Fazal suffers internal differences because of nomination of Abdul Ghafoor Haidery to contest election to National Assembly from Quetta instead of his home district Kalat (Balochistan). The issue sparked violent clash between his supporters and opponents in a meeting held in Quetta.

The party’s eminent leaders Hafiz Hamdullah and Hafiz Hussain Ahmed tried their best to pacify the angry workers but the latter resorted to clash. Both sides thrashed each other severely.
At the district Quetta chapter meeting at seminary of Hafiz Hussain Ahmed on Brewery Road Quetta, the workers complained and protested over the nomination of outsiders for electoral contest from Quetta. They said JUI-F suffered humiliating defeat in 2008 and 2013 Elections due to bad performance of some bigwigs of the party.
JUIF Zarghoonabad chapter president Hafiz Bilal Nasir asked why Abdul Ghafoor Haidery hailing from Kalat and cleric Ismatullah from Qila Saifullah were fielded as MMA candidates on JUIF quota to contest elections from Quetta. Haideri is JUIF candidate for NA-260 and PB-32. His relative Hafiz Ibrahim Lehri was also nominated as contestant from PB-36 Sikandarabad (Soorab).
JUIF workers wanted JUIF leadership to field Hafiz Hamdullah in NA-260 but since he is supporter of Maulana Shirani of JUIF hence he was ignored and the candidacy of MMA (JUIF) has gone to Abdul Ghafoor Haidery who lost last electoral fray in his home district constituency.
Due to clash and fight, the JUIF meeting concluded inconclusive.
