Facilitator of Deobandi terrorists of banned outfit killed in CTD encounter

Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) of Punjab Police carried out an operation in Gujrat late on Thursday night during which a banned Deobandi militant outfit’s facilitator opened fire upon them but the cops killed him in a shootout.

The CTD spokesperson said, the dead terrorist was identified as Khateeb and acted as facilitator in Lahore’s Mall Road Charing Cross explosion.
The spokesperson further said that the dead terrorist was also involved in Wagha Border, Qaddafi Stadium and Gulshan-e-Iqbal bomb blasts in Lahore.
A large quantity of explosive material was also recovered from the dead terrorist.
