Allama Nazir Taqvi elected secretary general of MMA Sindh chapter

Muttahida Majlis-e-Amal Sindh chapter meeting was held in Karachi where MMA’s central leaders Allama Arif Wahidi (ITP/SUC), Liaquat Baloch (JI) and Abdul Ghafoor Haideri (JUIF) represented the central leadership.

Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) hosted the meeting where JI’s Dr Merajul Huda, Hafiz Naeemur Rehman, Islami Tehreek Pakistan’s (ITP) Allama Nazir Taqvi and Allama Asad Zaidi, JUIF’s Rashid Mehmood Soomro, Aslam Ghauri and Qari Usman and leaders of JUP and Markazi Jamiat Ahl-e-Hadees (JA) also attended.
They unanimously elected Rashid Mehmood Soomro of JUIF as MMA Sindh president and Allama Nazir Taqvi as provincial general secretary of the religio-political alliance.
Dr Merajul Huda, Mufti M Ibrahim (JUP), Mufti M Yousaf Kasuri (JA) and Allama Asad Iqbal (ITP) were made MMA Sindh chapter’s vice president. Mumtaz Hussain Sahito (JI), Aslam Ghauri, Haleem Ghauri (JUP-N), Ahle Hadees cleric M Ibrahim (JA) were made deputy secretaries general. Mujahid Channa was named MMA Sindh information secretary and Qari Usman as secretary finance.
