Shiites to observe Friday as a day of protest against Shia genocide in Pakistan

mwm-allama-baqar-zaidiMajlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen, leading Shia party of Pakistan, has announced on Thursday that Friday will be observed as a day of protest against the ongoing unabated Shia genocide in Pakistan mainly in Karachi.

“Allama Raja Nasir Abbas Jafari, head of the MWM, has appealed to all the supporters to join the protest in their respective areas to register protest against the government’s inaction to counter terrorists,” said Allama Baqar Zaidi, a leader of the MWM speaking at a press conference at Pak Moharram Hall. Maulana Ali Anwar and Allama Mubashir Hassan were also present.

Allama Zaidi further said that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif formally announced targeted operation in Karachi in September last year and made Sindh Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah captain to head the operation but Yazidi takfiri terrorists of banned outfits, criminals, hired assassins, target killers and extortionists continued genocide against Shia Muslims and murdered many other Karachi’ites.

“Since September 2013 to date, more than 120 Shia Muslims have been murdered in Karachi. Among them were eminent scholars, doctors, lawyers, engineers. Trends show that now businessmen are soft targets that terrorists have focused on,” he said.

The MWM official lambasted the Prime Minister for not inviting Shia parties at high-level meeting he presided over to discuss law and order situation in Karachi. He said that it reflected sort of bias Prime Minister had with the victims of terrorism. He said that the PMLN government had bowed to Saudi monarchy at US dollars 1.5 billion and they are protecting the Yazidi takfiri terrorists of outlawed outfits in the name of talks with them instead of launching military operation to liquidate them.

“Provincial governments are emulating the federal government and they too took no action to eliminate the terrorists. The most inept, incompetent of them is Sindh Chief Minister who holds home ministry as well but failed to liquidate the terrorists. Banned terrorist outfits’ leaders are accorded official protocol and this approach has encouraged and emboldened the terrorists,” he said.

Allama Baqar Zaidi said that due to said reasons, MWM leadership has decided to stage rallies, demonstrations and token sit-in to convey to the failed government to rectify their shortcomings and if they continued to side with the terrorists, then countrywide protest would be expanded and last till the ouster of the government.

“Government must shoulder its responsibility because the Constitution made it obligatory on the rulers to protect the lives and properties of citizens of Pakistan and if they cannot do this job, they lack right to continue,” he warned.
