Banned Sipah-e-Sahaba leader jailed for inciting hatred against Shiites

Khalifa-abdul-qayoom-sspKhalifa Abdul Qayoom, a notorious leader of banned Sipah-e-Sahaba (renamed as Ahl-e-Sunnat wal Jamaat) was jailed for inciting hatred against Shia Muslims at an illegal public meeting in Dera Ismail Khan, Khyber Pukhtoonkhwa province.

Shiite News Correspondent reported that Khalifa Abdul Qayoom was earlier disqualified for holding fake academic degree. On January 28, he held a public meeting without getting permission from the administration.

At the gathering, he and Mufti Najeebullah of Peshawar, Tahir Rasheed of Islambad, Abdul Shakoor Zabani of Multan and Mehsudan Rehmani Usmani of Islamabad, raised slogans and made speeches against Shia Muslims inciting people to resort to violence and hatred against Shiites. All these things are forbidden in Islam and these were in flagrant violation of Pakistan’s Constitution and law.

Therefore, a case was registered by Cantt Police under section 153, 153-A/PPC and 16 MPO. The fanatic cleric had filed bail plea that was rejected by the court and he was finally sent to District Jail of Dera Ismail Khan.

Shiites of Pakistan have demanded that all the nominated fanatic cleric of the banned terrorist outfit should be arrested and punished for their hate-speeches.
