The Central Executive Committee (CEC) of the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) on Tuesday night Bokhari expressed concern over banned (terrorist) outfits who were still taking part in politics albeit with different names.
The PPP’s CEC members who are senior stalwarts of the party had already opposed the mainstreaming of banned terrorist outfits when they had met on the eve of martyrdom anniversary of Benazir Bhutto, former chairperson of the party at same place.
He said that the PPP leaders condemned the terrorist attacks in Quetta as well as Indian atrocities in occupied Kashmir.
Senior PPP leaders Khursheed Shah, Nafeesa Shah, Syed Nayyar Hussain Bukhari, Sherry Rehman along with Aseefa Bhutto Zardari and Bakhtawar Bhutto Zardari were also present at the CEC meeting that was co chaired by Asif Zardari and Bilawal Bhutto.
PPP leader Syed Nayyar Hussain Bukhari, told the media after the CEC meeting, said that the PPP would not accept engineered elections.
