MWM chief asks government to rid southern Punjab of problems

During his ongoing South Punjab visit, Allama Raja Nasir Abbas Jafari, secretary general, Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen, has criticized the PMLN government at the Centre and in Punjab province for not sorting out the problems of people of Southern Punjab.

“People of southern Punjab feel them neglected and humiliated. Their sense of deprivation is deepening due to estranged PMLN government,” he said, addressing a press conference. He was accompanied by MWM leaders from south Punjab.
MWM chief accused the ruler of disrespecting the Constitution and law of the land. He said that plunderers of national wealth, corrupt, dishonest and incompetent people have no right to rule the country.
He also lamented that Shia Muslims were being victimized as they were being denied full rights as citizens of Pakistan. He said non-Muslims such as Hindus and Christians were enjoying freedom to practice their religion and hold any religious programme without any prior permission but Shia Muslims are not allowed to observe their religious obligations and recommended rituals. He said an ASI of Police stormed into Imam Bargah in Rahim Yar Khan and violated the sanctity of Imam Bargah and also registered case against Shia Muslims for their religious congregation. He turned down the biased and unfair policies of the government.
