Taliban Khorasani group facilitator arrested in Karachi

Counter Terrorism Department of Sindh Police have arrested a Deobandi facilitator of banned terrorist outfit Taliban (Khorasani group) for collecting donation for the group.

Mohammad Ismail was arrested in a raid in Sohrab Goth where he had founded an NGO al-Safi Mohmand Welfare Organisation as a cover to collect donation for the Deobandi takfiri Taliban terrorist group. SSP Munir Shaikh said that the facilitator had also setup his network in Landhi, Quaidabad, Gulshan-e-Maymar, Manghopir, Baldia Town and Keamari.
They used to send the funds to Khalid Khorasani group via Waziristan to Afghanistan. Ismail was a proclaimed absconder in an ATC case of 2012. Literature of the organization was also seized.
