The 21st death anniversary of Ayatullah Rohullah Imam Khomeini (RA), the leader of Islamic revolution in Iran, was observed in the metropolis to pay tributes to the most popular legendary leader and visionary of the 20th century.
The Central program to pay tribute to Imam Khomeni was jointly organized by Imamia Students Organization (ISO), Imamia Organization (IO), Asgharia Organization, Dasta-e-Istiqbal-e-Imame Zamana (ajf) and Heyat-e-Aemia Masajid and Ulema-e-Imamia Pakistan (HIMUIP) and other organization at Soldier Bazar entitled â€œPhilosophy of Imam Khomeiniâ€.Despite the threat of Cyclone Phet and torrential rain in karachi, thousands of people from all walks of lifes were attended the meeting to tribute the great legendary leader Imam Khomeni.
Iranian Scholar Dr Ali Abbas Shimali, Maulana Syed Ali Murtaza Zaidi, Markazi Jamaat-e-AhleSunnat leader Allama Qazi Ahmed Noorani Siddiqui, Maulana Sheikh Hassan Salahuddin and others highlighted the philosophy of late Ayatullah Imam Khomeini.
Addressing the meeting Noted Iranian Scholar Dr Ali Abbas Shimli said that Imam Khomeini was inspired by the philosophy of the tragic incident at Karbala. He said that Imam Khomeini believed that this tragic incident would also help to inspire his nation to bring about Islamic revolution and prepare the people to confront the enemy.
He said despite their power, the US government and the Shah had no way but to cede the control of the country to the revolutionary forces, led by Imam Khomeini.”
“Imam Khomeini believed that unlike other revolutions, the Islamic revolution should not spread through sedition, military expedition or terrorism,” he said, adding the Iranian people should strive toward turning their revolution into a model for other Muslim nations.
He underlined the need of restructuring of Organization of Islamic Conference (OIC) saying that presently OIC has failed to address the problems being faced by the Muslim Ummah.
Dr Shimli added that this is the need of hour that Muslims of the world should introduce their own Muslim currency like Euro to meet the economic and political challenges in the modern world.
He said the Islamic Revolution differs from other revolutions in the sense that it was not merely a spiritual, cultural, economic and political revolution. But indeed it was an all-out revolution with deep affiliation with Islam itself.
Referring to Imam Khomeini’s genius and statesmanlike handling of multiple crises, Dr Ali Abbas said that in an era when many people in the world believed that Islamic teachings were no longer viable, the late Imam proved that Islam is a living and practicable code of life.
Allama Qazi Ahmed Noorani Siddiqui, Maulana Ali Murtaza Zaidi and Sheikh Hassan Salahuddin in their Â address said that the ideology of the late Imam Khomeni revived the spirit of resistance in the whole world, and particularly in the Islamic community.
They urged the Muslims of the world to take their cue from of Imam Khomeniâ€™s strong stance against Israel and American policies.
They condemned the Israeli attack on Gaza-bound aid convoy freedom flotilla saying that Israel is a cancerous tumor.
They said that the Islamic Revolution should reach such a level of evolution as to encourage other nations to follow the same course.
They Â further said that Islamic Revolution should promote Islamic teachings through defending the oppressed nations in the Islamic world, who have long been targeted by the global arrogance.
They Â underlined the need of unity among the Muslims to meet the challenges and threat are being faced by the Muslim Ummah.
