Quetta: More than 80 Caravans of pilgrims stuck in Quetta due to government’s incompetency
Caravans of pilgrims of Imam Hussain (as) have once again stuck in Quetta and are not allowed to go towards Taftan border. According to Shiite news reporter, more than 80 buses including thousands of pilgrims have been stopped by security officials at Musa Khan Chowk in Quetta and they are not given permission to go ahead.
Internal sources have told that government complains that caravans’ organizers and local Shia Hazara leadership of Quetta do not cooperate with them. Government sources told that Government of Baluchistan had announced that caravans would only be allowed to go to Iran on 1st and 15th of every month in order to ensure their security.
Local sources told Shiite news that Dawood Agha, head of Baluchistan Shia conference, is responsible for problems of pilgrims because he is the one who remains in contact with the government regarding caravans of pilgrims.
On the other hand, a delegation of MWM also met Interior Secretary of Baluchistan and demanded to issue NOC to all caravans going for Chehlum of Imam Hussain (as). Shia Ulema Council has also announced to conduct a protest today regarding this issue.
