Dangerous Terrorist Linked to Banned Sipah-e-Sahaba Arrested in Sahiwal, Major Sabotage Plot Foiled
According to Shiite News, the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) in Sahiwal foiled an alleged sabotage plan during an intelligence-based operation. During the operation, a dangerous terrorist affiliated with the banned organization Sipah-e-Sahaba was arrested.
According to CTD officials, 3 kilograms of explosive material, a prepared electric circuit, detonators, batteries, weapons, and cash were recovered from the suspect’s possession. Officials stated that the accused had arrived in Sahiwal from Tehsil Bara in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa with the intention of carrying out sabotage activities. Acting on confidential intelligence, authorities conducted the operation and arrested the suspect.

The CTD further stated that a case has been registered against the terrorist under the Anti-Terrorism Act, while further investigations are underway to identify possible facilitators and other members of the network.
