University of Chakwal Clarifies Presence of Israeli Flag After Strong Public Backlash

According to Shiite News, Chakwal: The University of Chakwal has issued an official clarification regarding the controversy surrounding the presence of an Israeli flag during a strategic conference organized by the Department of International Relations (IR).

In its statement, the University of Chakwal clearly explained that the display of the Israeli flag at the conference was not intended to promote or support Israel in any way.

Rather, the purpose was to make students aware that Israel poses a serious threat to the Muslim Ummah, especially Pakistan, and is carrying out severe oppression against the oppressed Muslims of Gaza. The main objective of the conference was to raise awareness among students and help them understand the current geopolitical situation in the correct context.

The conference also included analysis of the defense capabilities of countries such as the United States, China, India, Iran, and Pakistan so that International Relations students could gain awareness about both friendly and rival nations.

The university stated that the news circulating on social media resulted from misunderstandings and a lack of awareness of the actual facts. Therefore, the administration considered it its responsibility to present the correct facts and clarify the institution’s position before the public.

The University of Chakwal emphasized that the nation stands firmly, like a solid wall, with the position of the founder of Pakistan, Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, regarding Israel.

Quaid-e-Azam had clearly supported the right of self-determination for Palestinians and opposed the establishment of a Jewish state in Palestine. The university stated that it shares the same stance and believes that the creation of such a state amounts to violating the rights of Muslims. The institution affirmed that it remains committed to upholding the historic position of the Father of the Nation.

Furthermore, the University of Chakwal stated that it is committed to providing students not only with education but also with proper historical and political awareness. The university aims to familiarize students with realities that can help them become informed and responsible citizens.
