Sindh Rangers’ meeting, Security arrangements for Muharram ul Haram finalized

Pakistan Rangers (Sindh) conducted a high level meeting headed by DG Rangers Sindh Major General Bilal Akbar during which security arrangements for Muharram ul Haram were discussed so that any possible threat of terrorism could be efficiently handled. Additional IGP, DIGs East, West, South, Special Branch, Joint director General, IB Karachi Admin, representatives of CDGK, CIA, CTD, Traffic, K-electric and senior rangers officials attended the meeting. According to Sindh Rangers’ spokesperson, Rangers and Police jointly finalized security arrangements to ensure peace during Muharram ul Haram. Sindh Rangers and Police have been on high-alert and they have started snap-checking in all major cities. Large number of rangers’ personnel will be deployed to provide security to major processions, air surveillance of processions will also be done through helicopters and routes of processions will be checked by bloodhound dogs. In addition to this, snipers of Rangers and Police will be deployed on high buildings in the route of processions who will keep an eye on troublemakers. The routes of processions will be completely sealed. Police patrol on National Highway and Indus Highway has been increased and checking on inter-provincial check posts has also been increased so that extremists will not succeed in their dirty aims. It has been appealed to religious scholars to help law enforcement agencies in ending sectarianism and to establish peace in the city and promote unity and brotherhood among the nation so that no abominable incident will take place.
