Wanted Deobandi ASWJ terrorist among 3 killed in clash with Swabi Police

At least three Deobandi terrorists were killed Tuesday night in a clash with police personnel in Khyber Pukhtoonkhwa’s Swabi district. The Deobandi terrorists of proscribed ASWJ and Taliban opened fire upon Sunni Muslim officials

 

A policeman also lost his life in the exchange of gunfire with the Wahhabis-allied Deobandi militants, which police says, belonged to the banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) that was founded in collusion with the ASWJ Punjab-based ringleaders and ASWJ’s Lashkar-e-Jhangvi also became part of the TTP.

The KP provincial government that a Rs 2 million bounty had been placed on the head of Salman, who they identified as one the TTP militants who were killed in the clash tonight.

According to police, the Deobandi terrorists had taken refuge in a house in the Shewa Adda area of Swabi, and the Deobandi militants lobbed grenades and opened fire on the forces as they raided the house.

Nine other personnel, including a deputy superintendent (DSP) and two station house officers (SHO) were also injured in the clash.

A number of weapons, explosives and grenades were recovered from the house following the raid.

Inspector-General of Police (IGP) in KP Nasir Durrani has recommended the names of the police team members to be given awards and compensation for carrying out the brave operation.
