Nine Shia youths, kidnapped by police, have been released on Monday

labbaik ya hussainNine Shia youths who the police abducted from different areas of Karachi city on Saturday night, have been released on Monday after intervention by Shia leaders.

Wajahat Ali, Turab Hussain and Haider Zaidi were kidnapped from Al-Asif Apartment near Masjid-e-Noor-e-Eeman. Three youths were kidnapped from Orangi Town. They were shifted to Mominabad Police Station.

Yasir and Ali were abducted from Hassan Colony. Salim Haider was kidnapped from Surjani Town. Whereabouts of all these Shias were not made known to their relatives.

However, after Shia leaders intervention and relatives pressure, it was disclosed that they were taken into custody for unknown reasons. There was no case against them and they learnt that a banned terrorist group’s leaders had exerted pressure on the police for arrest of Shia Muslims and police bowed to outlawed Sipah-e-Sahaba’s pressure.
