The Committee of Heirs of Shikarpur Martyrs has appealed to all Sindh-based politicians and parties and people to observe a peaceful commercial strike to protest the PPP’s Sindh Government for its inaction against those takfiri terrorists who masterminded suicide bombing during Shia Friday prayers in Lakhi Dar area.
Heirs of the martyrs and their supporters would also begin Labbaik Ya Hussain Long March on Sunday from Masjid Syed ush Shohda and Imam Bargah Karbala Moalla Lakhi Dar to Chief Minister Sindh’s CM House in Karachi.
“In first phase, the commercial strike will be observed as a token protest and if the government continues its delinquency, long march will be held,” said one of the committee’s members.
Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen’s Allama Maqsood Ali Domki heads the committee and ISO, Asgharia announced their support to the call of protest by the Heirs of Martyrs. Shia Ulema Council first announced their support but in the meantime they abandoned the protest and joined hands with the PPP’s Sindh Government and attended a meeting where Chief Minister Sindh and they formed a committee.
This shift from the SUC who itself had staged a rally against Sindh Government has disappointed many well-wishers who overly criticized the ill-timed shift on part of Shia Ulema Council.
