Three of those killed were suicide bombers and blew themselves when cordoned off by the forces, official sources said. They wanted to escape at the cost of their lives and with a view to harm the security officials through bombings.

During the operation, 10 Deobandi takfiri militants have been arrested following fire exchange between Deobandi takfiri militants and the forces in Zar Kani, Gara Manda, Kot Sultan and Daraban area.

Among those taken into custody, three were Deobandi takfiri militants while other seven were Deobandi takfiris but their status was “suspects,” sources said.

A curfew was imposed in these areas till 6am today as a search operation went underway.

Deobandi takfiri is a term being used for outlawed Taliban, Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan, Sipah-e-Sahaba/ASWJ/Lashkar-e-Jhangvi, Jamaat ul Ahrar and other Deobandi outfits who are either involved directly in terrorism or endorsed the said ideology by fanaticism. Deobandis were hijacked during Afghan war against U.S.S.R. by Saudi intelligence and CIA who recruited them, trained them and financed them and during and after Afghan war, they were used for anti-Muslims terrorist attacks in the name of sectarianism.
