Biden may not pullout US troops from Afghanistan as per May 1 deadline, according to the latest reports from Washington D.C.

In this regard, United States Secretary of State Antony Blinken updated the U.S. legislature.

While speaking at the House Committee on Foreign Affairs, he said that they made no decision on May 1 deadline for withdrawal of American troops from Afghanistan.

However, he further said that the US remains engaged in a diplomatic effort for meaningful dialogue on a peaceful future for Afghanistan.

On the other hand, Zalmay Khalilzad and U.S. Resolute Mission Commander have visited Pakistan on Monday.

British Chief of Defence Staff also has paid visit to Pakistan.

Aforesaid officials held meetings with Chief of the Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa.

During the meetings, Afghan peace process also came under discussion.

Meanwhile, Pakistan government supports an Afghan-led and Afghan owned peace process.

For that, Pakistan offers to facilitate talks. Moreover, Pakistan leadership have been working for early completion of border fencing.

However, U.S. administration, including its military have failed in nation-building, reconstruction and establishment of peace in Afghanistan.

Since 2002, U.S. have maintained their military presence in Afghanistan but the country continues to suffer from terror bombings so far.
