Islamabad and Karachi under threat of takfiri terrorism, says federal interior minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed.

He said this, while speaking to the journalists in Islamabad.

Sheikh Rashid said that outlawed Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) is organizing again from Afghanistan.

However, he lauded role of police personnel who have ensured peace in the country at the cost of risking their lives.

The minister appreciated the brave soldiers of security forces have sacrificed their lives to defeat terrorism.

He alerted that presently Karachi and Islamabad remain under terror threats.

Meanwhile, SHO Pindi Race Course Inspector Imran Abbas shot dead late Sunday night.

Two motorcycle riders attacked while Mian Imran Abbas was traveling with his wife and children in a car.
They targeted him near Kachehri.

Later, rescue team rushed him to Fuji Foundation Hospital but he succumbed to his injuries.

Three takfiri TTP commanders among 4 terrorists killed in encounters

In Islamabad gunmen riding on bikes opened fire on a police patrolling van, injuring three police personnel on Sunday night.

The attack took place in the limits of Golra police.

Later, rescue staff shifted them the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) hospital.

There, Head Constable Mohammad Qasim died.

Sheikh Rashid expressed grief over the loss of head constable Mohammad Qasim.

Interior Minister seeks report from IG on armed attack on policemen at sector G-13.

Minister for Interior Sheikh Rashid Ahmed on Monday took notice of firing on policemen.

In this regard, he has sought details of the incident from Inspector General, Islamabad.

The Minister directed to bring the perpetrators to justice as soon as possible.
