Chief of the Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa said that Pakistan stays committed to efforts for peaceful Afghanistan.

During the meeting with visiting Commander US CENTCOM General Kenneth F. Mc Kenzie Jr on Friday, he underlined Afghan peace important for peace in Pakistan.
Furthermore, both sides discussed matters of mutual interest, regional security situation with particular reference to ongoing Afghanistan reconciliation process.
According to Radio Pakistan, both expressed unanimity of views on importance of political resolution of Afghan situation.
Meanwhile, visiting dignitaries acknowledged Pakistan’s commendable efforts in the fight against terrorism and ensuring regional stability.
Meanwhile, Russian presidential envoy also had a meeeting with Pakistan Army Chief in GHQ Rawalpindi on Friday.
The Russian Presidential Envoy to Afghanistan Zamir Kabulov called on Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa.
During the meeting, matters of mutual interest, regional security situation particularly developments in Afghan Peace Process came under discussion.
The COAS said that peace in both countries is in greater interest of the region.
Meanwhile, the visiting dignitary appreciated the positive role, Pakistan is playing for Afghan Peace Process.
Furthermore, he stated that Pak-Russia relations will continue to prosper manifolds.
