Background

Takfiri terrorism poses serious threat to Pakistan and the entire humanity, let alone Muslim nations.

Originally, present-day takfiri ideology came into being in Pakistan’ Punjab province where Deobandi cleric Haq Nawaz Jhangvi founded Sipah Sahaba (The Army of the Companions).

In 1980s, takfiri clerics and fanatics remained darling of the United States-led Western bloc and its staunch ally Saud Arabia’s monarchy.

However, Jhangvi’s takfiri outfit and its offshoots let loose a reign of terror across Pakistan throughout late 1980s to date.

Due to this history, Pakistani nation detest Jhangvi’s takfirism and remnants such as outlawed Lashkar Jhangvi or ASWJ as mother of all terrorism in the country.

Since long, they have been working as local franchise and facilitators of global terrorist groups such as al-Qaida, Taliban, Daesh (ISIS), etc.

They have also massacred civilians, soldiers of Pakistan Army, state’s paramilitary forces and police, let alone civilians.

Moreover, they have also bombed mosques, shrines, Imam Bargahs, religious congregations, churches and temples, let alone army installations.

Although, Pakistan government has declared them outlawed and banned takfiri terrorist groups; yet, Sipah Sahaba (ASWJ) and its subsidiary LeJ continue to work under other names.

Ringleaders Mohammad Ahmed Ludhianvi, Aurangzeb Farooqui, Rab Nawaz Hanafi, Ramzan Mengal and other notorious thugs lead outlawed Sipah Sahaba.

Now they are working under Rah-e-Haq Party and ASWJ and Muavia Azam work as their front man in Punjab legislature.

That shows, these thugs of takfiri outfits face no ban and enjoy complete freedom to continue their malicious activities.
