Pakistanis observe birth anniversary of Allama Iqbal in a befitting manner in the country and abroad.
On the one hand, nation paid homage to the great ideologue and the national poet, and on the other State instructions and government officials also demonstrated their reverence.

The day began with change of guard at Allama Iqbal mausoleum in Lahore, where Pakistan Navy assumed guard duties.
On behalf of the chief of the naval staff, officers, sailors and civilians of Pakistan Navy, station commander Pak Navy laid wreath at the Mazar.
Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar visited the mazar and paid tributes to him. President and Prime Minister of the country and Chief Ministers of other three provinces also eulogized his services.
On the other hand, President Secretariat under the auspices of Pakistan Academy of letters announced Fikr-e-Iqbal Ambassador Conference on Tuesday.
The planned to hold the conference at President Secretariat under the auspices of Pakistan Academy of letters (PAL).
President of Pakistan, Dr Arif Alvi would preside over the conference.
Federal Minister for Education and Professional Training and National Heritage and Culture Shafqat Mahmood and ambassadors of different countries to Pakistan will attend the event.
They and various scholars would spoke on Iqbal’s philosophy and poetry.
Conference aims at exploring new dimensions of Iqbal’s philosophy, poetry and to increase the connections of Pakistani writers with the international writers.
Dr Yousuf Khushk, Chairman, PAL will present an introduction of the conference.
