Allama Nazir said Shia Muslims have made matchless sacrifices for the sake of Pakistan and always believe in Sunni-Shia unity.
However, he vowed that Shia Islamic leadership would counter the machinations of mischievous elements (takfiris and nasbis) prudently.
Allama Nazir further said that miscreants were trying to fan sectarianism under their oft-repeated practice which adopted in the past.
He demanded withdrawal of FIRs against Shia notables and said those FIRs don’t meet legal requirements: hence illegal and unconstitutional.
Furthermore, he said that hatemongering clerics also violated the sanctity if Hazrat Abu Talib and Shia Muslims reserve right to file FIRs on this issue.
The Shia convention also condemned blasphemous caricature of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) which French magazine Charlie Hebdo reprinted.
Shia leadership also condemned desecration of Holy Quran in Sweden. They vowed to continue to observe azadari or mourning in commemoration of Imam Hussain-led Martyrs of Karbala.
They also condemned atrocities against Palestinians and Kashmiris.
Furthermore, they paid tributes to Martyrs of Pakistan to mark the Defence and Martyrs Day (6th September).
