Country wide protest continues to condemn the bomb blast in Ashura procession

Hundreds of protest demonstration and rallies have been held across the country on the second consecutive day after the Ashura mayhem to condemn the bomb blast in holiest procession of Ashura-e-Imam Hussain (AS) in Karachi.
Shia organizations across the country including Imamia Students Organization (ISO), Imamia Organization (IO), Jaffaria Alliance Pakistan (JAP), Majlis-e-Wehdate Muslameen, and Shia action committee have taken out protest rallies and demonstration in every part of the country including Lahore, Islamabad-Rawalpindi, Multan, Faisalabad, D.G.Khan, Sargodha, Chakwal, Gujranwala, Kurram Agency, Orakzai Agency ,Peshawar, Quetta, Naseerabad, Larkana, Khairpur, Nawabshah, Ghothki, Sukkur, Jamshoro, Hyderabad, Gilgit, Baltistan and other parts of the country to condemn the barbaric incident in Ashura procession and express their solidarity with the mourners (Azadars).
In Lahore, big protest demonstration was held outside the press club, large number of women and activists of ISO were present on the protest demonstration. Speaking at the protest demo, ISO Central president Adil Bangash denounced the bomb blast in Ashura procession.
He demanded of the government to provide protection to the procession and congregations of Muharrram-ul-Harram saying that this was the responsibility of the state to protect the life and property of their citizens.
He said that the government had failed to provide security to the mourners.
However, In other demonstration and rallies, speakers of the various Shiite organizations rejected the allegation that the enraged mourners were involved in the aftermath of the incident, they said that no mourner (Azadar) was not involved, and they rather were proceeding with the procession peacefully.
“Why they failed to ensure security to the procession, even after having the earlier information about such incident,” they said, adding that the minister had earlier announced that there was a terrorist threat during the Ashura procession.Jaffaria Alliance Sindh President Rashid Rizvi and ISO leader Abbas Murtazai in their address to the protest demonstrations at Hyderabad condemned the attack on Ashura procession saying that such heinous acts of terrorism could not stop the procession and other religious practices.
