Israel supplies Syria militants with espionage devices: Report

A recent report has disclosed that the Tel Aviv regime has recently provided the foreign-sponsored militant groups operating inside Syria with wiretapping and communications interception devices, Press TV has learnt.

According to informed sources, who declined to be named, Israel has supplied the espionage devices to militants fighting against units of Syrian government forces in Syria’s southwestern city of Daraa, situated about 90 kilometers (56 miles) south of the capital, Damascus, as well as the city of Quneitra, located in the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights.

The report comes as recent documents have revealed that hundreds of wounded militants fighting against the Syrian government have been receiving medical treatment in Israeli hospitals.

According to the documents from Israeli hospitals, Israel’s army paid USD 10 million up until September this year for the costs of treatment to the foreign-sponsored militants injured during battles with Syrian government forces, and the money has come from the Israeli military’s budget.

The papers further revealed that a total of 398 injured militants have been treated at Galil Hospital in the city of Nahariya north of the Israeli-occupied territories in the past couple of years.

Another hospital in the city of Safed has provided treatment for hundreds of other militants.

Damascus says Tel Aviv and its Western allies are aiding al-Qaeda-linked militant groups operating inside Syria.

The Syrian army has repeatedly seized huge quantities of Israeli-made weapons and advanced military equipment from the foreign-backed militants inside Syria.

Meanwhile, there are reports that a terrorist group, called Haramain Sharifain Brigade and trained in Saudi Arabia, are gearing up to overrun cities in Syria’s southwestern province of Quneitra.

Syria has been grappling with a foreign-backed deadly conflict since March 2011 that has taken the lives of more than 200,000 people.
