Iraq condemns the Zionist occupation’s bombing the Qatari Committee for Reconstruction in Gaza
MOFA condemned on Monday, in the strongest terms, the Israeli occupation bombing of the headquarters of the Qatari Committee for the Reconstruction of Gaza.
“MOFA condemns in the strongest terms the Israeli occupation’s continued systematic violation of international law and its crimes against Palestinian citizens and its repeated and blatant attacks on buildings and service facilities. The most recent of which was the bombing of the headquarters of the Qatari Committee for the Reconstruction of Gaza, regardless of international demands for the need to immediately stop this aggressive war on the Strip,” said the Ministry spokesman Ahmed Al-Sahhaf in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency – INA.
He added, “The Ministry affirms the solidarity of the government and people of Iraq with the people of Gaza, and we demand an end to the hostile attacks on those safe there, which constitute a serious violation of the provisions of international and humanitarian law,” pointing out that “the Ministry renews its call to the Security Council and the international community to assume their responsibilities and put an end to these violations that with its destructive images and effects, it exceeded the limits of description.”
“From a position of commitment to the right of the people of Palestine to self-determination, we once again express our support for the efforts aimed at stopping these violations, in accordance with the purposes and principles of the United Nations Charter,” he included.
