Deputy head of UN Mission in Iraq praises service efforts of Al-Abbas shrine

The Deputy Special Representative for Political Affairs and Electoral Assistance of the United Nations Assistance Mission for Iraq (UNAMI); Mr. Claudio Cordoni, praised the efforts of the Al-Abbas’s (p) Shrine in the field of serving the community and visitors.

During his meeting with the secretary-general of the Al-Abbas’s (p) Shrine; Sayed Mustafa Mortadha Aal Dea’ Uddin, Mr. Cordoni listened to a detailed explanation of the holy shrine’s efforts in the field of serving its visitors and the community, introducing him to the expansion projects that the shrine is working on to provide more spaces for visitors, especially on the days of major Ziyarat, in which millions of visitors flock to Karbala.

The two sides also talked about the importance of various projects established by the Al-Abbas’s (p) Shrine, especially in the agricultural and industrial fields, in addition to educational projects, and providing all means of modern education for students.

Mr- Cordoni also praised the strategic and industrial projects of the Al-Abbas’s (p) Shrine, aimed at providing job opportunities for Iraqi youth, supporting national expertise in various fields, in addition to strengthening the national economy and its products.
