Holy Al-Najaf City Marks Death Anniversary of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH)

Muslims around the world hold on the 28th of the Hijri Month of Safar mourning ceremonies to mark the anniversary of the demise of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

In Holy Al-Najaf City, believers offered condolences to the Prophet’s cousin, Imam Ali (P), at his Holy Shrine.

The Iraqi authorities and Hashd Shaabi (Paramilitary forces) secured the pilgrims marking the occasion and provided them with all the needed services.

Upon returning from Mecca to Medina, Prophet Muhammad fell ill for several days and died on June 8, 632, at the age of 62.
