U.S.-Israel-Imposed War on Iran Has Not Ended, Enemy Should Be Prepared for Further Strikes: Iranian Army Chief

Shiite News: Iranian Army Chief Major General Amir Hatami has said that what he described as the war imposed on Iran by the United States and Israel has not yet ended, warning that Iran’s armed forces are prepared to carry out further military strikes.

Addressing the first national “Soldier Festival” at the Imam Ali Officers Academy in Tehran, Hatami said that it was essential to safeguard what he described as the country’s major victory and preserve its achievements.

Major General Amir Hatami said that the adversary had already suffered significant blows but would, according to his remarks, face further attacks by members of Iran’s armed forces.

During the ceremony, he also paid tribute to former Chief of Staff of Iran’s Armed Forces, the late Sayyed Abdolrahim Mousavi. He said the event was held to honor Mousavi’s services and what he described as strategic measures taken to defend Iran against external threats.

Addressing regional countries and Iran’s neighbors, Hatami said that cooperation with the United States could not, in his view, guarantee security for the region and that regional countries themselves should take responsibility for ensuring regional security.

He warned that insecurity in the region would have consequences for all countries and said Iran would not accept what he described as external control over the region’s resources.

Hatami further argued that regional security could not be achieved without the departure of the United States and Israel from the region, adding that he believed such a day was approaching.

The remarks come amid continuing tensions involving Iran, the United States and Israel. Recent reporting has also documented statements by Hatami concerning Iran’s military posture during the wider regional conflict.
