Khamenei: Arbaeen Will Continue to Grow Across the World

“The Blood of Imam Hussain Still Boils After 1,400 Years; Arbaeen Will Continue to Grow Worldwide,” Says Ayatollah Ali Khamenei

Shiite News: Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei described Arbaeen as a global symbol of unity and awakening for the Muslim Ummah. He said that Arbaeen has become a worldwide phenomenon and will continue to expand globally, adding that “this is the blood of Imam Hussain ibn Ali, which is still boiling even after 1,400 years, becoming ever more alive and vibrant with each passing day.”

Speaking about the universal message of Ashura, Khamenei said that the message of Imam Hussain (AS) and Lady Zainab al-Kubra (AS) was first proclaimed under conditions of extreme hardship and isolation but has now spread across the world and will continue to do so.

He further stated that Imam Hussain belongs to all of humanity. While Shia Muslims take pride in following him, he said Imam Hussain is not exclusively for one community, emphasizing that Muslims from different Islamic schools of thought, including both Shia and Sunni, stand under the banner of Imam Hussain.

Khamenei also described the Arbaeen Walk as one of God’s great signs, noting that even people who are not practicing Muslims participate in the pilgrimage. He expressed confidence that the event would continue to grow in significance.

He added that at a time when, according to his remarks, opponents of Islam employ political, financial, and military means against the Muslim world, the growing prominence of the Arbaeen pilgrimage represents, in his view, a sign of divine support for the Muslim Ummah.
