Iranian Navy Claims Full Control Over the Strait of Hormuz and Gulf of Oman, Admiral Sayyari Expresses Confidence in Defense Capabilities

Shiite News: Admiral Habibollah Sayyari, Deputy Coordinator of the Iranian Army, has stated that Iran’s navy possesses full defensive capabilities and that no movement is possible in the Strait of Hormuz, the northern Indian Ocean, and the Gulf of Oman without Iran’s permission.

Expressing confidence in the capabilities of the Iranian Navy, Admiral Sayyari said the force is in a strong operational position. According to him, Iranian armed forces maintain full surveillance and control over the eastern section of the Strait of Hormuz, the northern Indian Ocean, and the Gulf of Oman.

He added that Iranian naval personnel continue to perform their duties with determination in the strategically sensitive waters of West Asia. Their presence, he claimed, ensures that no movement through these key maritime routes can take place without Iran’s authorization. Admiral Sayyari also stated that the security situation along Iran’s land, sea, and air borders remains stable and satisfactory, and that the country’s armed forces are fully prepared to respond to any potential threats.

The deputy coordinator further said that the defensive strength and capabilities currently possessed by Iran’s armed forces are the result of the guidance, planning, and strategic vision of the late “Martyr Imam Khamenei,” whom he credited with advancing Iran’s defense self-sufficiency and strengthening national sovereignty.

The statement comes amid heightened regional tensions. The article claims that resistance operations against U.S.-Saudi actions in Iraq are continuing, Yemen has targeted Riyadh, and armed groups opposing the U.S. presence in the region are becoming increasingly active. Admiral Sayyari’s remarks regarding Iranian control over the Strait of Hormuz are significant because the waterway is one of the world’s most strategically important routes for global oil shipments.
