Blind religious scholar contests Elections from PS-102 to serve special persons

ali anwerMaulana Ali Anwar Jafari is a blind religious scholar but he lives normal life like normal man. He is Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen’s candidate to contest the elections to Sindh Assembly from PS-102 (Karachi).

In an exclusive interview with the Shiite News he said that special persons should not lose heart and they must participate in day to day life activities. He said that Pakistan suffers from multiple problems and his candidacy is aimed at countering the nefarious designs of the enemies of Islam and Pakistan in the Elections 2013.

“Terrorism and fanaticism pose serious threat to Pakistan. Takfiri nasbi intolerant ideology is being imposed on peaceful and moderate Pakistanis through use of force. Pakistanis have to join hands to defeat the forces of terrorism and fanaticism,” he said.

Maulana Ali Anwar said that unlike other Muslim and non-Muslim countries, special and disabled persons were lagged far behind in Pakistan. He said that special persons enjoy the facility to appear in the examination through internet in other countries and in Pakistan normal pupils don’t enjoy this facility.

“After having been elected, I shall try my best to serve the special people by ensuring maximum required facilities for them,” he said.

Mr. Jafari who is the MWM Karachi chapter’s coordination secretary further said that he faces no problem in spending life as normal persons. He is able to dial phone numbers from his cell phone and also runs a factory. His working was broadcast by a news channel.

He said that Shia Muslims have an identity and their service for Pakistan was not remembered therefore one of the purpose behind his contesting elections is to revive Shia identity in the political process and parliamentary politics of Pakistan. He said that Shiites are children of pioneers of Pakistan and they would continue to play their due role for the betterment of Pakistan.

He said that he would also strive to eliminate the menace of corruption and nepotism in the government departments and educational institutions. He said that his elections would boast the identity of white cane that is used by visually impaired people. He said that his blindness did not impede him from progressing and moving forward. He said that he speaks congregations, he attends protest and leads demonstrators without any difficulty. He said that he would continue to work hard to serve Pakistani society in numerous capacities.
