Nov 2013: 82 arrested; 2 children, 15 tortured and 120 home raids
In it’s November 2013 documentation report, the Liberties and Civil Rights Unit of Al Wefaq National Islamic Society found a record number of women to have been arrested, along with many other citizens including children.
Although the month marked the second anniversary of the Bahrain Independent Commission of Inquiry, there has been a continued deterioration in the general human rights situation, focusing on arbitrary arrests, house raids and other violations that the country has experienced regularly for 3 years.
The month also marked the religious period of Ashura, which drew heightened attacks on religious freedom from the authorities in Bahrain.
