Hekmatyar among 57 Afghans attending peace conference in Pakistan

As many as 57 Afghan delegates are attending Afghan Peace Conference which a Lahore-based Pakistani think tank hosts at Bhurban today.
Veteran Gulbuddin Hekmatyar, senators and members of Afghan parliament are attending the moot.
Most importantly, Lahore Center for Peace Research hosts the conference ahead of Afghan President Ashraf Ghani’s likely visit to Pakistan on next Thursday.

Therefore, many call it Lahore Process to discuss different aspects of the Afghan peace process.

Notably, it include bringing peace and stability to Afghanistan through connectivity, trade, economy and health.

Noteworthy to add that President Dr Arif Alvi will host a banquet in honour of these delegates.
The participants of the conference will also call on Prime Minister Imran Khan.

Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi has also spoken at the inaugural session today.

Most importantly, veteran Pakistani diplomat leads the think tank that is hosting Afghan leaders today. That makes the event more important and shows its seriousness.
