Pakistan begins fencing border with Iran next week

Commander of the Southern Command of Pakistan Army Lieutenant General Asim Saleem Bajwa said Pakistan is going to start fencing border with Iran next week.

The control and management of borders is very essential, he said it at international seminar in Quetta where he also said that such step would also help government of Balochistan to control smuggling.
Pakistan is already putting fence on border with Afghanistan, the Pakistani army commander said, adding that so far about 370 kilometers of the fencing project has been completed.
Iran and Pakistan share 950 km of the border linking Pakistan’s Balochistan Province to Iran’s Sistan-Baluchestan province.
