Imam Bargah and Mosque demolished in Islamabad Naval Anchorage Society

The local administration illegally demolished an Imam Bargah in Naval Anchorage Society in Sihala that is situated at Dr AQ Khan Road on Islamabad Expressway.

The residents complained that the illegal demolition began at midnight. They said that a local landlord had devoted land as waqf where Shia Mosque and Imam Bargah Dar-e-Zahra was constructed.
The new of razing the sacred constructions spread like jungle fire and people thronged the scene. They began staging a sit-in to register protest against the demolition of mosque and Imam Bargah.
The peaceful protesters demanded that Chief of the Naval Staff, Chief Justice of Pakistan, Federal Government and top brass must take immediate notice of the illegal demolition of mosque and Imam Bargah in Naval Anchorage Society Sihala.
They demanded reconstruction of the Imam Bargah Dar e Fatima Zahra (AS) and Mosque.
Heavy contingents of security were deployed around the protest venue.
