Allama Sajid asks PM Imran Khan to refrain from anti-Yemen statement
Shia Ulema Council Chief Allama Syed Sajid Naqvi has exhorted Prime Minister Imran Khan to refrain from taking side in Saudi-Yemen issue if he wants Pakistan to mediate to sort out the conflict.
“Giving statement in support of Saudi Kingdom against the Yemeni Movement is not in the interest of Pakistan,” he said.
Veteran Shia leader cited that said on the one hand, Imran Khan had claimed in the past of neutrality in the disputes and on the other, now Prime Minister Imran Khan has given statement against Houthi Movement of Yemen.
Allama Sajid said either Pakistan should not become a party to the conflict and let them decide to deal with the situation on their own if he cannot convince them to reconciliation.
He backed giving rights to Biharis and other Bangladeshi in Pakistan. He said that all segments and stakeholders should be included in the decision-making consultation on national issues.
