MWM sit-ins continue at 16 points in Karachi despite shelling
Despite police and rangers action, peaceful sit-ins are being staged at 16 points in the city to protest against the Mastung Tragedy in which 29 Shia pilgrims embraced martyrdom in suicidal terrorist attack.
Main sit-in is being staged at Numaish Intersection on M.A. Jinnah Road near the mausoleum of founder of Pakistan. Allama Hassan Zafar Naqvi, spokesman for the MWM, Maulana Munawar Naqvi, Maulana Ali Anwar, Mubashir Hassan, Hassan Hashmi and other officials of the MWM Karachi chapter are leading the protestors.
The mourners are demanding simultaneous countrywide military operation to liquidate the terrorists who have massacred over 50,000 Pakistani civilians and 8,000 security officials so far. They demand compensation, government employment and free education and health facilities for the heirs of the martyrs.

He condemned the arrest of Allama Ali Irfan Abidi and other supporters who sat-in at the camps of sit-in.
He warned the police and rangers must not intimidate and provoke our peaceful youths. He demanded the Sindh Government to take action against the rogue police and rangers cops who used force against peaceful mourners including women.
The sit-ins are also being staged at Malir 15 on National Highway and Natha Khan on Shahrah-e-Faisal, Ayesha Manzil and Incholi on Shahrah-e-Pakistan, Hazara Goth, Safari Park, Abbas Town, 5 Star Chowrangi North Nazimabad, Golimar Chowrangi Rizvia Society.
