Six Shia Students Free,Taliban’s Capicity

Six Shia Muslim students of Kurrum Agency’s Parachinar area were freedÂ after around 4 months in Pakistani Taliban’s captivity.

According to the Shiite News Correspondent,Captain Yousuf, a representative of Toori-Bangash tribe told reportersÂ on Tuesday that their release came after “successful” talks with aÂ tribal jirga of the notables.On July 17, 2010, the terrorists of Pakistani Taliban brutallyÂ massacred 18 Shia Muslims including 7 women by hatchets and batons.They pierced the bodies into pieces.

Six ill-fated students including two brothers were taken hostage onÂ that day. Since then, neither security forces nor the civilianÂ administration took any step to assert the government writ in this

so-called federally administered tribal area (FATA).

Reports had it that ransom was paid to the terrorists for the releaseÂ but the parties kept a mum on ransom issue.

Shia Muslims of the FATA’s Kurrum Agency experienced worst sort ofÂ terrorism, harassment and oppression. But, an incorrect impression isÂ being created if it is a civil war or sectarian-related clashes. As a

matter of fact, it is terrorists versus civilians like other parts ofÂ Pakistan. Shia Muslims are hit by the same terrorists who made attacksÂ in all over Pakistan.

Unfortunately, neither the government nor human rights organizationsÂ and media defended Pakistani Shia Muslims when terrorists make themÂ targets across Pakistan. Genocide of Shia Muslims goes unabated acrossÂ the world particularly in Pakistan and Iraq where U.S-led coalitionÂ had taken over the governing affairs.

The genocide of Shia Muslims and injustices done to them has causedÂ growing anti-U.S. feelings among Shia Muslims. The terrorists whoÂ perpetrated terrorism in Iraq were freed on the U.S. orders and

according to U.S. arrangement US$300 per month were paid for eachÂ member to buy loyalty of pro-terror groups.

Pakistanis believe that there is a nexus between U.S. securityÂ agencies/intelligence and the terrorists who hit Pakistani civilians.Â These terrorists used to attack Pakistani interests and they have notÂ spared Pakistan military headquarters, shrines of saints, let aloneÂ Shia Muslims’ congregations.
