The coordinator of former Senator Syed Faisal Raza Abidi and his two brothers were arrested on false charges in what appeared to please the banned takfiri outfit under the unfair ‘balance policy,’ that is aimed at equating the law-abiding peace-loving Shia Muslims with the banned outfits terrorists to portray an imagined sectarian war.

Security officials raided the house of Azam Abbas, coordinator of Faisal Raza Abidi, former PPP Senator, in Rizvia Society along with his two brothers namely Amir and Asif. They were accused of possessing illegal weapons but the family made it clear that they had licensed weapons and their licenses were issued by the competent government authority and they can produce it in the court of law.
The security officials also claimed that Azam hailed from PPP and Amir belonged to the MQM-London but the family also denied this charge saying that they had no political affiliation. It is also relevant to add here that Faisal Raza Abidi also had parted with the PPP and had resigned as Senator.
Shia Muslims turn down this unjustifiable policy that non-political Shia Muslims who have licensed weapons are being punished for no crime. Shia Muslims demand the government and the security establishment to rescind the biased anti-Shia policy that was formulated in the background of Saudi-US-led Afghan’s proxy war.
