Protest Day held across Pakistan for release of Nasir Shirazi

Protest rallies were staged in all over Pakistan yesterday with demand that Syed Nasir Abbas Shirazi, deputy secretary general, Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen, should be released immediately.

Many rallies were held from Karachi, to Lahore and Gilgit-Baltistan where supporters of Imamia Students Organisation and MWM largely participated.
Carrying placards and banners, the protesters condemned the illegal detention of Nasir Shirazi and raised slogans demanding his release.
Allama Mirza Yousuf Hussain addressed the rally in Karachi while Hassan Raza Naqvi spoke to the protesters in Lahore.
They denounced the Punjab government and its Law Minister Rana Sanaullah for abduction of Nasir Shirazi. They said that Punjab government was flouting the order of Lahore High Court regarding production of Nasir Shirazi.
