Two drone strikes were reported in Afghanistan’s Paktia province, bordering Pakistan’s Kurram Agency on Tuesday, sources said, according to Dawn but other news channels said the missiles hit Abu Bakar Centre inside Pakistan while sources also claimed that first Afghan jets bombarded and then US drone hit the area. Five persons are reported killed in strikes.

The death toll from US strikes in the same area of Afghanistan on Monday has reportedly increased to 26, a Pakistan government official informed AFP.
A suicide and gun attack on a police training centre in Paktia’s capital city Gardez killed at least 15 and injured 40 others earlier today.
