Shia Muslims turn down ban on Moharram flags on streets

Biased Sindh government led by PPP and Sindh Police led by AD Khowaja have disallowed fluttering of Moharram’s black flags on the main places along thoroughfares in Karachi that evoked a strong reaction from Shia Muslims.

Former PPP Senator Faisal Raza Abidi arranged the hoisting of Moharram flags and banners every year but this year Sindh Government denied him permission to do so. Nothing controversial is written on the banners and Moharram’s black flags are considered sacred by almost all Pakistan excluding the takfiris.
Shia Muslims have vowed to flutter Hussaini flags to commemorate the anniversary of martyrs of Karbala and their infallible leader Imam Hussain come what may. They said that this year more flags would be hoisted and all Pakistanis would reject the plots of forces of Yazid.
