06 July, 2017 08:49

The election campaign of Islami Tehreek Pakistan’s electoral contestant Mohammad Baqar Haider continues in full swing and his position is relatively stronger due to joint election campaign of his party along with Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen that is otherwise considered a rival party. The by election to Gilgit- Baltistan legislative assembly from Nagar constituency will be held on July 9.

The local and central leaders of Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen have so far spoken in favour of ITPs candidate since MWM withdrew its contender in favour of ITP’s candidate.
Allama Sajid Naqvi, chief of ITP and Shia Ulema Council has reached Nagar where he led a rally of M Baqar Haider. Shia Muslims have expressed satisfaction over the much-awaited electoral adjustment of the two Shia parties in Shia majority Gilgit-Baltistan.
