MWM candidate hasn’t withdrawn from by election on Nagar 4, so far
Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen Gilgit Baltistan chapter spokesman Ilyas Siddiqui has clarified that his party has not withdrawn its electoral contestant in the by election to legislative assembly from Gilgit-Nagar 4 constituency.
He said that Pakistan People’s Party and Islami Tehreek Pakistan have contacted with Allama Raja Nasir Abbas Jafari, head of the MWM to seek his support for their parties’ candidates and for that they have requested that MWM should withdraw its candidate.
However, he made clear, no decision has yet been taken. MWM leadership will consult the people of the constituency and MWM workers then take decision according to their wishes, said Siddiqui.
Syed Asad Abbas Naqvi, secretary political affairs, told a meeting at Wahdat House in Gilgit that Nayyar Hussain Bukhari of PPP and Allama Arif Wahidi of ITP had personally met Allama Raja Nasir Abbas Jafari to seek support but decision was not made, so far.
