National Security Adviser retired Lt Gen Nasser Khan Janjua discussed issues of border security with a resolve to boost mutual cooperation during his meeting with Iranian Ambassador Mehdi Honardoost yesterday.

He said Pakistan attached great importance to its ties with Iran and was committed to overcoming all irritants for its improvement.
Mr Honardoost pointed out how the lack of interaction between banking sectors of the two countries was causing an obstacle in enhancing bilateral trade.
Mr Janjua assured the ambassador that authorities concerned would be sensitised to take measures to facilitate trade with Iran through better banking interactions.
The two sides agreed to improve border management through better coordination and cooperation in regional security and other areas.
