Prime Minister Nawaz obeys Saudi Wahhabism, says Sunni cleric

Veteran Sunni cleric Mufti Abdul Aleem Qadri, vice president of Jamiat Ulema-e- Pakistan (JUP-Noorani) has complained that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif became partial by obeying Saudi Wahhabism instead of following his ancestral Islamic ideology.

“Prime Minister converted and went to Deobandi congregation in Raiwind. Why he didn’t go to Sunni congregation of Dawat-e-Islami of Maulana Ilyas Qadri? Why he doesn’t attend Shia congregations,” Allama Qadri asked in an interview with the Islam Times.
He said that Prime Minister should not have been partial and he should also have attended the congregations of Sunni and Shia Muslims as well. He said that reports had it that some girls of Sharif family had got married to Saudi royals and there was no objection to such marriages but the problem is Nawaz Sharif began toeing the line of Saudi Wahhabi royals due to these ties and he didn’t attend Sunni and Shia Muslims congregations because of Saudi Wahhabism opposition to Sunnis and Shia Muslims.
He said that only Sunni (Bralevi) and Shia Muslims are true patriot citizens of Paksistan because they struggled collectively to get Muslims of the subcontinent independent under separate state Pakistan.
He said that government and security institutions are also well aware of who terrorists are. He complained that Wahhabis and Deobandis were posted as prayer leaders and orators at the mosques in the premises of the shrines of Islamic saints whose administration is under government department’s control. He said that these Wahhabis and Deobandis disdain Islamic saints and detest their devotees and pilgrims and call them infidels and pagans.
It is relevant to add here that al-Qaida, Daesh and their local allies in Pakistan and Afghanistan such as Taliban, ASWJ/Sipah-e-Sahaba, Jundulla, Lashkar-e-Jhangvi, etc., are followers of either Saudi Wahhabism or allied-Deobandism.
