Army Chief, DG Rangers must take notice of jawans asking sect of people

People of parts of Karachi have complained that they were being asked to disclose their sectarian identity during ongoing census but the Census staff clarified this question is not raised by them but army/rangers personnel inquire about sect of people.

So far, people of Shia areas of Malir and Soldier Bazaar have been asked for disclosing their sectarian identity. People have exchanged hot words with the staff over asking the irrelevant question of sect because the Census form doesn’t require this information.
People and Shia leaders have demanded the Pakistan Army Chief of Director General of Pakistan Rangers (Sindh) to take action against such personnel forthwith. They demanded that nation be told who has ordered them to collect sect-related information of people and for what purpose? And if the sectarian information was needed, why that information was not sought through Census form?
People have expressed reservations of this malpractice by the security officials and demanded action and explanation because and organized pogrom had already been launched Shia Muslims in all over Pakistan where Shia Muslims are under threat by the takfiri terrorists banned Deobandi terror outfits such as Lashkar-e-Jhangvi/ASWJ and their allies.
