Suicide jacket recovered from Deobandi mosque in Peshawar

The Peshawar police yesterday thwarted a major terror bid by defusing a suicide vest that the cops recovered from a Deobandi mosque at Ring Road Peshawar.

As per details, police found a suicide jacket a Deobandi mosque Doran Pur area at Ring Road. The bomb disposal unit (BDU) experts were called in after suicide vest and explosives were recovered from the mosque, said SSP Operation Sajjad Kan.
He said that the BDU officials defused the suicide jacket stuffed with 10 kilograms of explosives successfully.
A heavy contingent of police were also reached to the spot and cordoned off the area and started search operation.
